Bicentenary Program

Proposed Program:

  1. Friday 23rd April 2038 – Welcome
  2. Saturday 24th April 2038 – TB200 Celebrations
  3. Sunday 25th April 2038 – ANZAC Day
  4. Monday 26th April 2038 – A Day in Dalton
  5. Tuesday 27th April 2038 – Farewell

After 2pm – arrive and settle in

If you are flying in, we can arrange pickup from the airports (Sydney or Camden ariports). If catching the train, we can pick you up from Campbelltown Train Station (20 minutes’ drive). Contact us to arrange pick-up.

6-7pm – Informal Dinner (if you are not staying at the venue, please RSVP for catering purposes). Attire: Casual.

7:30pm – Setting up for the weekend’s activities and sitting around chatting

9pm – Supper

7-8:30am – Breakfast

9am – Welcome to TB200 opening ceremony and prayer. Attire: Smart Casual

9:05-10:30am“Born in England” Family Lines Presentations (20 minutes each):

  • 9:05am (10 mins) – Old Tom & Sarah Brown Life & Legacy
  • 9:20am (20 mins) – Stephen Brown Line
  • 9:45am (20 mins) – Harriet Brown Christie Line
  • 10:10am (20 mins) – James Brown Line

10:30-11am – Morning Tea

11:00-12:30pm“Born in Cobbitty” Family Lines Presentations (20 minutes each):

  • Introduction (5 mins)
  • 11:05am (20 mins) – the Sophie Brown Pollard Line
  • 11:30am (20 mins) – the Sarah II Brown Holgate Line
  • 11:55am (20 mins) – the Thomas II Brown Jnr Line

12:20-12:50pm – Historic Brown Family Photo taken (and family line/group photos)

1pm-2pm – Lunch

2pm-3:20pm“Born in Wesley Vale Area” Family Line Presentations (20 minutes each):

  • 2:05pm (20 mins) – the Caroline Brown Southwell Line
  • 2:30pm (20 mins) – the Benjamin Brown Line
  • 2:55pm (20 mins) – the Elias Brown Line
  • 3:20pm (20 mins) – the Job Brown Line
  • 3:45pm (5 mins) Deceased children: David, Mary, and Ebenezer

4pm-4:30pm – Afternoon Tea

4:30-6:30pm – Free Time / Camp Activities / Rehearsal & Preparation for Concert

7-9pmDinner Theatre – acts put on by family members (contact us to be added to program). Possibly 2 x 50 minute shows plus 20 minute intermission, depending on how many acts.
Attire: Formal

9pm – Supper

7-8:30am – Breakfast

9-10am – Free Time / Preparation for ANZAC Service

10-10:30am – Morning Tea

10:45-11:30am – ANZAC Service: 2-minute presentations on serving family members – wear your medals! See ANZAC Program. Attire: Smart / Uniform.

11:30-12 noon – ANZAC Group Photo

12:30-1:30pm – Lunch then free time / camp activities

3pm – Afternoon Tea

6pm – Casual Dinner

7:30pm – Viewing a documentary on Old Tom Brown

9pm – Supper

6:30-8am – Breakfast

8:30-11am – Drive / coach* from Cobbitty to Dalton (2:15hrs). Attire: Comfortable.
*We plan to rent coach/es to get people from Cobbitty to Dalton, and back.

11-11:30am – Short Memorial Church Service at Dalton Uniting Church

12-2pm – Lunch at BBQ/Picnic at Dalton Cricket Ground (or Dalton Pub)

2:15pm – Visit Dalton Cemetery

3pm – Cavalcade to Tom & Sarah Brown Cairn at “Oak Park”, Dalton

3:30pm – Visit Old Tom Brown’s Tree and closing prayer

4-6:30pm – Drive / bus back to Cobbitty (2:15hr) or released to go home

7pm – Casual Dinner

8pm – Free time / pack up

9pm – Supper

7-8am – Breakfast and farewell prayer

8:30-9am – Final Pack up

9am – Depart
